I did my future workbook website section on the website http://www.ecotopia.com/. This website is a clearinghouse for grassroots, localized information on environmental initiatives. Unfortunately, it provides a classic example of poor design detracting from good content. In fact, while the mind should seemingly be able to distinguish the quality of the content from the way it is presented, I find that this is frequently and resoundingly not the case. For one, the design has no contrast, so it does not distinguish certain topics as having significance or overarching status. Second, the site looks like it was made in 1996. All of that said, the content is great. There is much valuable information from all of the fields of sustainability, especially those that investigate areas off the beaten path which nobody knows about (because no corporations of any size are willing to invest them).
