Future Workbook: Creative Work

an excerpt from my short story

Ganzaga's bat-mobile marked its landing zone on the orbiting planet, Fantasia. The bat inside was engineered with cameras in its eyes to record any activity on the planets. The bat was released from the spacecraft and was instructed to browse the planet. Ice-caps covered most of the circumference. Bright green valleyes followed blue windy rivers lined with beautiful trees of all colors. Leaves of one tree were orange, another blue, and another purple. The trees were rainbows.
"What a magnificent sight," exclaimed Silvia. "I can't believe this is real! Every picture looks like a piece of art."

(another excerpt)
"Well, now we know why planet Leo is gold. Just look. The ground is covered in it!"
Ganzaga was instructed to test the composition of the ground. Sure enough, the material tested positive as pure gold. Different textures of gold blanketed the entire planet. Gold sand. Gold rocks. Gold riverbeds. The water drifted down-stream, glistening of gold from the riverbed beneath. Sean and Max gazed at the sight, jaws dropped. Silvia looked over and saw saliva drip from Sean's chin.
Silvia scolded, "Too bad we're not looking for gold. We don't have time or equipment to take any of it now, so I suggest we continue the search and move on."

I wish I had more time to post the whole thing. I had a lot of fun writing this piece!
