Future Workbook: Analytical Paper

I enjoyed writing my analytical paper on the book Real Utopia. However, I knew when I turned it in that it was not polished or concise the way I had planned. The biggest problem with this piece was not being able to tie in all the parts to a cohesive whole. I spoke about a new vision for the future which looks at the human body not as a gendered body, but as an equal entity in a shared space.
In a participatory economy, human interconnectedness is essential. Systems work best if the majority of people are involved and recognized as meaningful entities. It is difficult to wrap our minds around issues of diversity, equality, and acceptance when a body does not fit nicely into a specific category. Categories are especially created to keep seemingly abnormal people at a distance. Specific words used to describe "the other," and methods of interpreting definitions of others directly impact human interconnectedness, often off-setting the positive socialization of all people.
I wish I could have polished the paper more. It would have been much more meaningful. I also would have been more proud to call it my last analytical essay.
